| Since its birth in mid-1990s, urban paper has a growing families. And with its ever-changing styles it plays a major role in the paper market in china. News Page is the topic of this paper considering the fact that urban paper is different from the official papers and traditional evening papers in its contents of news and format design. And the approaches of research adopted are arguing by instances , document analysis and theoritiacal explanation. This paper, after depicting the brief and plain language and the newsness and praticability of the contents, makes deep analysis on the front page, important news page, society news page, the entertainment news page and sports news page. And it goes on to criticizes the violence and entertainment nature of the news and the similarity tendency between different papers. Meanwhile, it talks about the news strategies concerned briefly. And at the end of this paper, it deals with three directions for the future of urban paper on the edition content of the paper which are rolling paper, district collection paper and deluxe popularize newspapers.
