Research On The Model Of University Computing Grid And Implementation Of UCGrid Management System

Grid, as a new technology developed these years, is of the foremost characteristic of resource sharing. In this paper, the model of university computing grid is designed, the system framework is constituted, the experimental system was built and the center of CA was founded through the study of CDUT's computing resource and computing needs in teaching and researching. The target of the project funded by the DNCPC Lab is to meet the increasing needs of computing resource in CDUT through the secure share of computing resource without more hardware investment.Regarding to the framework of university computing grid as the blueprint, in this disquisition, the UCGrid management system was developed that includes user console of grid, system console of grid and back-ground job management module. The UCGrid management system can manage the resource that connected into grid effectively, and provides users with secure and reliable computing services. The users should be easy to submit single computing task or parallel computing task, monitor the state of running task, and realize disk sharing and remote printing through user console of grid. The management of task, users and the I/O of distributing data are realized by grid system console which enhances the power of user's management and forms the base of pay using. The implementation methods and main technology of grid user and grid system console are especially presented in the paper. At the end, an example by using UCGrid management system based on current work is provided.
