Design And Implementation Of A Workflow Engine Supporting The Automatization Of Software Process

It is always a focus of Software Engineering researches that we explore new software developing methods and techniques for improving the productivity and quality.From the Rational Unified Process model, this paper has modeled, analyzed and automatically run software process by making use of software process technologies and workflow technologies.By presenting the background,this paper analyses the characteristics of the new PSEE based on the combination between software process model and workflow management system,and introduces the architecture of workflow management system which is brought forward by the Workflow Management Coalition,then this paper considers that the function modules of the workflow management system could solve the problems of the PSEE,then introduces the Workflow Basic Process Definition Meta-model and analyses the process model of workflow core model,and also introduces the workflow patterns,makes analysis of modeling the RUP software process,and describes the RUP software process by using the workflow modeling language which is accorded with specification of BPML,then this paper introduces the architecture of workflow management system which supports the automation of the software process,and analyses the core groupware of the workflow management system—workflow engine detailedly,this paper explains the realization of the workflow engine which supports the automation of the software process,and analyses the dispatch of the workflow activity nodes in the workflow engine.Finally,this paper summarizes the contributions of our work,and then makes the expectation of our future work.
