Research On Web Service-based Workflow Technology

Having the ability of handling complex transaction in heterogeneous environment, workflow is coming into notice in the area of science research, e-government, e-business, there are lots of research achievements and productions. But with the rapid development of Internet-based application, the traditional WFMS system cannot meet the requirement of the modern process management system. Because the disadvantage in the dynamic process and cooperation in process, the traditional WFMS cannot do well in the distribute application of muti-departments and muti-orgnazitions.Web service is the hope. Web service is the single entity that is released in the web and included one or more functional entities. Because of the natural dynamic characteristic and co-operation in process, web service is supposed to settle the problem in the traditional systems. So it will bring the new development period with the application of web service in workflow technology.This dissertation analyses the application method of web service in WFMS and dissect the key aspects. A web service-based WFMS architecture is put forward after a deeply research in workflow model and workflow execution machine. Finally, the web service-based workflow technology is applied in the e-government by the WSFlow e-government station, as the implementation, it is illustrated that the method of creation, release and implementation of web service in the WSFlow station and design the G-UDDI in detail.
