The Research Of The Front End Of Network Video Surveillance System Based On Embedded System

With the rapid progress of network technology, the network video surveillance system is becoming more and more important. Analyzing the development of the network video surveillance system from an analog system era to the embedded network digital system ear, this paper presents the resolving project of video compressing by DSP and transferring them over network.Although there are many advantages by adopting digital video technology ,but there are also some shortcomings such as large date quantity, if the digital video can not be compressed efficiently then it can not be transferred under the current situation. This paper have a detailed discussion about the JPEG image compressing by using DSP.This paper is composed of four chapters. The first chapter is the introduction. It introduces the network video surveillance system based on embedded system briefly and presents the structure of system. The second chapter discuss the image compressing coding technology and analyse the feasibility of using DSP for image compressing. The third chapter introduce the major hardware cell of the system in detail. The fourth chapter is the software analyse part of the system and it study the JPEG arithmetic including the structure of the coding system and the steps of coding in detail. It presents the exploitation flow of the main programme and emulation result of the image compressing of the system.
