The Development Of OPC Server And Client Based On LNS In Configuration Software

The configuration software is first provided in 80's and is widely used in many fields now, such as factory control, intelligence building and transportation. While the computer technology develops at very fast speed, the configuration software also has changed quickly. I mainly discussed OPC technology, the developing orientation of data collection in configuration software, in this paper. LonWorks, which is one of the field buses, is wildly used in factory control and intelligence building. LNS (LonWorks Network Service), the OS of LonWorks, becomes more and more popular too. Basing on OPC technology and LNS technology, I have developed OPC Server and OPC Client. They are all in the lead in China. This paper indicates the history and development orientation of configuration software firstly. It states the LonWorks field bus, LNS, OPC and OPC criterion then. According to the LNS, OPC and the request of this project, the paper provides the design theory and development methods of LNS OPC Server and OPC Client. In the end, there is also a practice application. According to the above, this system is developed on Windows 2000 Server. The development tools are Visual C++6.0, KOSRDK and KOCRDK. The paper goes into particulars in parts design including design theory, program methods and implementing technology.
