Research Of Resource Information Service In The Campus Grid System

With the appearance and rapid development of grid technology, the research of the grid information service is become more widely and deeply. Grid Information Service is a fundamental and important part in a grid system, which undertakes the following tasks: describing the existence and attributes about grid resources, registering and searching for the grid resource information and monitoring the grid resources that are changed dynamically. In this thesis, an information service system is designed according to the characteristics in the campus grid system: resources are centralized and the resource number is not many. The whole system can be divided into several different regions, and there is one server in every region charging of the management and maintenance for the local resources. The database and xml document are adopted to store the computing resources and information resources respectively. Finally, the realization of the information service in the campus grid system is described in detail, including the registering,searching and updating for the resource information, and the security for the information service is discussed at the last.
