In the course of technology' s development in education have been accumulated a large number of valuable audiovisual materials and works of films and TV. These valuable materials and works, Which are being conserved on various magnetic tapes by means of the simulated magnetic recording, are subjected to serious physical and chemical inroads. Faced with so important but fragile audiovisual materials, we need to find a better access both to safely conserving and managing these valuable historical materials and to continuously exerting their function under the new circumstances of the educational development, giving their service to school teaching. The development of stream media technology and network technology has provided us with a firm technological support to solve the above problems. Constructing the management platform of the network resources and digitizing and networking the audiovisual materials can keep the materials in safety; realizing the effective and scientific management of the materials can make them better perform their service function in school teaching.The networking of the audiovisual resources is just the transition from audiovisual resources of different forms to media forms supported by the net environment, and conformity of the media forms. Now there exist many kinds of audiovisual resources, whose quality differs greatly, and there are many softwares for us to choose from in the course of the transition. Therefore, we need to make contrastive experiments with the approaches adopted and experiments with software and hardware environments used in networking the audiovisual resources so as to find the best approach to ensuring the quality of the audiovisual resources and saving the memory space to increase the operating speed. After classifying the digitizedresources of all kinds according to colleges, teaching and research sections, or disciplines, types of resources, and types of text, picture, audio and video forms, we can store, manage, browse, and broadcast the resources. In this way, a learning platform is formed with the integrated information resources of all kinds, providing users with an invented information service system where they can search, select, transmit, and utilize the resources.Application of the digitized audiovisual resources will serve as a promotion in increasing the utilization ratio of the resources, advancing school teaching, improving the conventional teaching methods, quickening the reform of curriculum systems and renewal of courses ' content, and developing student' s capacity of bringing forth new ideas.
