Design And Development Of Computer Room Embedded Guard System

With the development of the computer science, the computer room in universities is developing in the direction of opening, large-scale and automatic management. And the key to achieve automatic management of the computer room is the guard system. At present, the guard system in universities in China is developed based on Windows platform of appliance computer. And there are many problems bothering managing personnel of the computer room such as difficulty to maintain, high cost, high consumption and inconvenience to operate. However, embedded system is suitable to develop computer room guard system for it has many merits like small size, low cost, low consumption and convenience to maintain.Taking embedded guard system as the research object, the paper intends to achieve the hardware system of guard system which is based on ARM embedded processor and to develop guard system for the computer room on this basis. The main works are listed as follows:1. the paper studies in detail the current development of embedded system hardwareand embedded operation system, then discusses in length the characteristics, application and structure of ARM embedded processor, and makes proposal to implement all parts of the embedded guard system, including the selection of ARM embedded processor model and embedded operation system.2. the paper develops the hardware system of computer room guard system by usingARM embedded processor. It also designs and develops the embedded main board which is based on Samsung ARM embedded processor S3C44B0 and then introduces the functions and structures of all modules of embedded main board in detail. What's more, CRT display module based on Altera's large scale FPGA chip is designed and developed as well.3. Based on the hardware system of computer room guard system the paper develops its software, Bootloader boot program, and under uClinux operationsystem, the driver of RF Card Reader and application system of computer room guard system.
