Design And Implementation Of Management System Based On CMM For Military Software

Software process is a set of activities, methods, practice and converse process, which can use to develop and maintenance software and related product. It has been proved that software process improvement is not only raising software productivity, improving software quality, reducing development cost and but also shorting development cycle. In 1991, capability maturity model for software so-called SEI CMM was developed in American where production and consumption of software lead the field, which can direct software organization to improve software process. In 2003, military software capability maturity model was developed. In this paper, research works focus on the improvement of software process based on CMM. There are two parts of the main research results. The one is the execution method of military software CMM2, and the other is the development of project management system base on CMM2 which is executed on method mentioned ahead.About the execution method of CMM2, the framework of military software CMM is introduced in this paper, so the goals and the requests of CMM2 are. On the base of this, the execution method of the SPP KPA and the SPTO KPA is introduced. The method includes duty of role, entrance criterion, activity, exit criterion and verification.About the project management system base on CMM2, the framework of system, data structure of the basic information and the functional flow is introduced at first. Then the SPP module and the SPTO module of the system are introduced. These two modules were designed base on the execution method. The activities and the products of the software planning process (SPP) are provided by the SPP module of the system. The key parts of the SPP module are work breakdown structure (WBS) and the software estimation. The software estimation method in this system is based on WBS. The measurement process of project firsthand data and the report method are provided by SPTO module. The function of data analysis is realized through indicator that provided by SPTO module. The six kinds of indicator are provided by the system. The principle of these six kinds of indicator and the software size indicator (as an example) is introduced in this paper.At present, the system has been put into use and gained expected objection basically.
