Research And Implement Workflow Technology On FRACAS Facing Commercial Aircraft

FRACAS (Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System) is an important part of reliability engineering for commercial aircraft. Building and running FRACAS are not only the necessary actions of management and basic tasks for maintaining its security and reliability, but also effective methods of reducing cost of aircraft life cycle.FRACAS software becomes an effective tool for implementing FRACAS with development of information technologies. However, the probability of error and exception highly increases due to its complex, heterogenous and instable running environment and the complicated and time-consuming workflow. In addition, a majority of FRACAS software has no or not enough support of transaction characteristic, they lack the ability to ensure the correctness and reliability of system. The more the environment complex, the more the commercial aircraft FRACAS needs reliability and stability. The transaction and its processing in WfMS are the key idea and technology to solve the above problem.By comparing transactions of FRACAS with traditional transactions, we find a transaction model which satisfies requirements of the system. Based on some long transaction processing of workflow, the traditional transaction model and several advanced transaction model, a kind of expanded transaction model (Multi-Level Saga Transaction model, briefly named MSaga) is studied. The formalized description of MSaga model is presented in this dissertation. The FRACAS workflow based on J2EE platform is implemented. The architecture of MSaga transaction model and its detailed design are realized. The reliability and stability of FRACAS are improved and so FRACAS has the ability of handling exception.
