The information revolution that the Internet brings is changing our work and life style. We can search materials, send E-mail to friends for communication. And we also hope to control the household appliances, deal with the industry equipment, transmit the sound and picture by it. This has impelled the birth of the embedded network server with strong characteristic of precise small and real-time data processing ability. It suits for industrial control and the intellectual electrical home appliances because its network platform of observes and controls with embedded operating system as the administrative system, advanced CPU DSP as core, have low power dissipation, small, dealing with real-time data quickly.This paper discusses the realization of the embedded network platform of measurement and control, the design of finish- systematic composition, hardware and software design. The design of embedded network platform of measurement and controls based on DSP includes the following several respect mainly: (1) Use digital signal processor TMS320VC5402 that can satisfied with the control, owns reasonable price and is wide used as core of platform, so as to ensure and improve the dependability of system and the real-time character; (2) Use embedded operating system DSP/BIOS-II that with high performance and strong real-time character as the systematic operating system, to realize the dispatcher of the task and the management of ancillary equipment; (3)Design the software and hardware of the controller, choose RTL8019AS as the network interface chip, choose SJA100O as the interface chip of the CAN bus; (4) Designed the network protocol and upper control software for realizing the communication network.This system which has the strong combinability and portability characters can finish the control on different targets by adding corresponding peripheral interface chips according to the differenttargets, and adding the suitable task in the control system.
