As the development of the electronic technology, Embedded system based on DSP becomes the mainstream architecture of industry controlling network. This system has the characteristics of more precision and more processing speed. The integrating of DSP, Fieldbus and Embedded system brings new thought of industry control technology.In this article, the characteristics of various Fieldbus are compared, and the proper Fieldbus Controller Area Network Fieldbus (CAN bus) is selected. An industry controlling monitor terminal based on TMS320F2812 Digital Signal Processor and CAN bus is researched. Monitor terminal communicates with the PC server using Ethernet, receives the data from the maincontroller and tens of slaves via CAN bus to monitor their working status and displays the parameters of data on its Display real-time.In software, Comparing the characteristics of various the mainstream Embedded opearation system, the terminal is based on DSP/BIOS kernel provided by TI Company and builds a real-time embedded control system using characteristics of real-time, multi-task and cuttingable. The system achieves the real-time monitoring to the maincontroller and slaves via CAN bus. Normally, the monitoring terminal is in monitoring status and displays the real-time data from maincontroller and the return of slaves. When the main controller failure, the terminal takes over control, seamless switches to control working condition and achieve all the features of the main controller. The seamless switch feature of monitor terminal will relay immediately to achieve high reliability.In User Interface, a friendly Graphic User Interface (GUI) with touch screen is implemented. The Monitoring terminal interface is composed of two-tired menus, the main interface mainly involves displaying real-time data and the status of the main controller. The second level menu is the interface used to input authorized passwords for switching the monitoring terminal from monitor mode to main control mode, when main controller is unusual. The main controller has four-tired menus, its main features have real-time data display, parameter settings, alarm of kinds of status information and manual data input.Monitoring terminal meets the functional need of the system and makes user more convenient in operation.
