Research On Integration System Of Heterogeneous Databases Based On Corba

As a researchful hotspot and difficult topic in the field of database, the integration system of heterogeneous databases has brought wide attention in both foreign and domestic academia and industry. The foreign research on integration of heterogeneous databases began in the 1980's, a lot of corporations and units have done a great deal of research and acquired a great deal of outcome. However, the domestic research on integration of heterogeneous databases is in the early stage.In the field of heterogeneous databases, the goal is to establish a global database of heterogeneous databases distributed geographically on the condition that the local autonomy is influenced as little as possible. The global database is transparent to the users, and can implement the global application of heterogeneous databases, and can also implement the exchange and sharing of information of heterogeneous databases.This paper mainly does some research on integration system of heterogeneous databases based on CORBA. This paper presents a three-layered architecture of integration system of heterogeneous databases based on CORBA on the basis of the key problems analyzed, and implements an example of integration system of heterogeneous databases that provides query processing of two different relational database management systems.
