Research On Prehistoric Life-form Restoring Tools Based On Java Platform

With the sciential accumulation of paleontology, biology and rapid development of computer technology, the intercross of these two sciences provides paleontology new research respects and methods. Now, computer technology exerts more and more important effects on paleontology research, and there occurs many groping research subject, via simulating the life activity of life-form to verify scientist's supposition. In this paper, on the basis of the research of Java 3D API, we discuss the application of virtual reality technology in paleontology, not only indicate that this technology will bring paleontology new evolutionary and chances, but also analyze it from many point of view such as feasibility, practicality in detail, and present the direction and field of specific research. On the basis of comprehending modern paleontology's new developments, using before achievements, we bring forward design ideas and algorithms of tools to restore prehistoric life-form in Java, then according the features of Java 3D, present the realization of virtual laboratory.In the end, based on above theory achievements, we design and realize interactive application prototype in Java, this prototype is developed modularly, in good loosely couple and expansibility. Getting across functional test proves this prototype having validity and practicability.
