The Audio And Video Capturing And Processing Surveillance System Based On TMS320C6201

Today, the video surveillance system in our country — includes the traditional analog video surveillance system and the more advanced video system based on computer video recorder using the coaxial-cable to transmit the video signal from the camera to the recorder. When the distance between the camera and the recorder is very long or the number of the cameras is very large, we have to lay a great deal of coaxial-cable, therefore the image transmission becomes the bottleneck of the video surveillance system, but compressing the video image at the place of signal resource can solve this problem.This paper designs a audio and video signal capturing and processing surveillance system using TMS320C6201 digital signal processor as core ICs which based on ADV611 a chip using wavelet as the kernel algorithm. The system has a lot of merits, such as strong processing ability, flexible installation and broad application area.The paper emphasizes the macro design of the system and its detailed realization. At first, the paper introduces the phylogeny of the surveillance system and the background of this project and then gives the detailed solution. Following,the application of DSP in the system is deeply analyzed. The selection and the characters of DSP and the design flow of the hardware and software are emphasized in the paper. At the end of the paper, the detailed hardware circuit design of each block and the experience of the system design and PCB design are given here. Aiming at the lack of the system, the paper brings forward some new solutions to improve the performance of the system.The key difficulties of the design conquered in the system are the exact acquisition of ratio and video signals, the interface design among ADV611, DSP and SAA7111A, the Ethernet transmission interface design of the surveillance system,the high speed circuit of TMS320C6201 DSP and its extended SDRAM and Flash.
