Distributed Control System (DCS) is an integrative control system which comes into being with the enlargement of the modern production scale, the complication of the production technique and the higher require of the automation control of the production process. It develops from the integration of computer, communication, CRT and control. It is the mainstream and developing trend of current industrial control. It promotes the development of industrial automation greatly.Based on the reconstruction of DAYE Pelletizing Plant automatic control system, this thesis introduces the design and implement process of the shaft furnace pelletizing automation control system in detail.At first, the architecture and functions of the DCS are presented. The whole system has four layers; it achieves centralized management and decentralized control. In addition, the accuracy and anti-jamming capability of the system based on CAN bus are greatly improved.Secondly, the specific control scheme is presented by means of the analysis of the actual system problems. The implement methods of hardware and software are also put forward.To automatically control the temperature of the shaft furnace, in view of neural network and self- adaptive control, the control method of signal neuron self-adaptive PID is proposed. And the driver programs of the controller are designed with MCGS configuration software. The controller can improve the control performance in evidence. The robust and self-adaptive capabilities of the controller are also satisfied. And the methods can be applied to other process of temperature control.After the automatic control system of shaft furnace pelletizing is brought into use, the labour intensity is decreased; the productivity is raise; and the produce cost is down. At the same time, the pellet output is increased; and quality is improved.
