The Study Of GPS Vehicle Monitoring System & Making Methods And Appliance Of The Vector Electronic Maps

It is GPS Vehicle Monitoring System studied in this paper. It is an combination of computer network and database,GPS,GIS,communication and sensors technology. It has following merits: wide monitoring range, convenience for management, robust operation and economical feasible, low cost, high efficiency and easy to prevail. What's more, the making methods of the vector electronic maps are discussed, including the application in above system. GPS Vehicle Monitoring System in this paper is separated into three parts: the mobile terminal, the monitoring center, and communication sub-network. The functions of vehicle monitoring, navigation alerting, auto print, attempering and database querying, historical track playback are integrated into one system. Moreover,this system can be updated to GPRS Vehicle Monitoring System.We divide the system based on modularization-devising method, and give out some schemes of module-realization. According to software characteristics, we embed GIS software MAPINFO into VC6 by OLE technique. It makes geography window Integrated into VC6, and also, in this way, we can make full use of the powerful and versatile function of VC in network, database and also the MapInfo's Merit in dealing with map visualization, so we can develop a practical GPS Vehicle Monitoring System. GSM module TC35 is used as communication module in our system, we use AT command set to control TC35 module. Jupiter Receiver from Rockwell Co. is used to receive GPS signal. Whole systems discuss the designs of software at central ports in detail. Experimental results show that the system has achieved the design request and realized the basic anticipant functions.
