Study And Implementation Of AAA Server On Linux Streaming Platform

The industry of Streaming media is just coming to us. Great market potential focuses numerous companies on. So-called streaming media is that can be decoded at the same time of transmission on the network. The network mainly indicate IP network. With the development of Internet backbone and entry network that is called "last kilometer" project, a favorable operating platform has come up. Synchronously, correlative protocols for real time transport are established and improved, such as RTP, RTCP, RTSP, SDP and so on.The article bases on a Linux Streaming Media server Project (LSMP), studies, develops and enhances several functions on the main part of streaming media operation supporting system: AAA System and related information management Interface.The main achievement of the paper is to have completed the design and implementation of AAA System. Firstly, the article design the framework of RADIUS Authentication, Authorization Accounting server based on the RADIUS protocol, adopt the structure that Separate the accept and management of packet to achieve the best performance both each part and whole server. Analyzed this framework and mended it, testing result indicate that the design of server framework can fulfill the requirement of high performance. Secondly, the article implements the function of RADIUS accounting server that include exact accounting process, real time accounting and flexible and extensible accounting police. Finally, the article accomplished the user information management platform and accounting police management platform.In this paper, some enhancements ware made on radius protocol to reduce the limitations: Considering the unreliability of network communication protocol, we proposed a radius data packet resending and abandoning algorithm. To fulfill the real-time accounting function, we extended the primary message channels on secondary radius servers; to facilitate the real-time fee querying on client side, we introduced and extended the accounting message structure of diameter protocol. In the final part of this paper, we give out a survey of diameter protocol and the description about diameter AAA system upgrade. A platform was constructed for future researches on diameter protocol under the streaming media system.
