Construction And Application Research On Learning Resources Library Based On Streaming Media

With the rapid development of network technology and multimedia, it has gradually become a necessary demand in education based on network information to digitalize massive educational resources, construct network resource database, and operate them in a network. Although there are quite a lot of producers of educational resource database, and many academic institutions are also making great effort in developing resource database system of their own, there still exist in their applications many problems in system structure and function design, and also in the resource construction mode in which resources are provided directly by producers. For instance, focus on quantity rather than on quality in content, the prevalence of traditional examination-orientation in guiding principle, design mode of simply putting various functions together, inconsistency in standards and specifications, and gap between structural designs all contribute to the low efficiency in resource construction, resulting in an ever aggravating phenomenon of isolated island. In a word, there is no systematic macroscopic guidance in resource construction. Therefore, it has become more and more important to design and construct a rationally worked out, standardized and practical resource database of network education.This study deals with the construction and application of teaching resource database based on streaming media technology, with focus on the digitalization technology and management of streaming audiovisual resources, and puts forwards some concrete solutions and approaches as to the design and construction of teaching resource database system based on streaming media technology.The study covers: (1) The digitalization technology of streaming audio resources. Based on the relevant theories and basic technology of streaming media technology, this study tries to reveal the approach and process of digitalizing audiovisual resources based on streaming media technology, covering the digitalization of audio resources and that of visual resources, so as to achieve the categorization and integration of digitalized resources. (2) The design of teaching resource database system based on streaming media technology. This study tries to make a systematic examination in guiding principle, market demand, system structure, customer analysis, function mode design and database design. (3) The realization of teaching resource database system based on streaming media technology. This system, based on B/S Web environment and with the technological solution of Linux + PHP + MySQL integrated, aims to realize the user and resource management and the basic functions of uploading, downloading, browsing and searching of teaching resources. (4) This study, based on specific teaching environments, also probes into the application of teaching resource database combined with multimedia teaching system and network teaching application of teaching resource database based on streaming media technology.
