The article designed and realized a high-performance signal-processing hardware platform, based on TMS320C6701 DSP, aiming at the multi-function signal-processing system for millimeter-wave radar in flight environment.The system has a tight cooperation with the forepart-radar in time, and utilizes the information of high-distinguished echo and Doppler frequency to classify the target. The complex timing of forepart-radar, the complexity of target-classifying algorithm, and the abominable working surroundings increase the difficulty in chip selecting, circuit designing and plate making.The hardware system designed is very concision but high-efficiency, benefited from the high-speed processing ability; abundance on-chip resource and flexible peripherally interface of TMS320C6701 DSP. Firstly, contraposing the system's task requirement, the article explained the course of designing from chip-selecting, peripheral interface designing to full hardware system establishing in detail, using a few basis algorithm of target-recognition field as a example; Secondly, had the hardware tested, and gave out the test-result and what the author has learned; Thirdly, using the modularization-programming thinking, programmed a framework-program, and tested every module, such as FIFO read module and DMA transfer module , simultaneously analyzed the problem contacted with and give the solution to them; At last , summarized the article and suggested the future work.
