Application Of Web Services In Enterprise Application Integration

Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) is proposed to solve the problem of isolated information. There are three models of traditional EAI such as the integration of interface, the integration of data and the integration of business flow. Though these models have been applied in EAI widely, they have following shortcomings. Firstly, they are based on compact coupling mechanism and need to set up many links among several systems. The whole system should be modified over again if something have changed, that not only incease the intensity of implement but also go against the maintenance and upgrade of the system. This is short of the capability of extension and agility. Secondly, they are based on the repeated deployment of resource. In order to make the system run, programmers have to program for every enterprise or outside resource that need to integrate together. Finally, they have problems of the update of edition and interface. If one side of the integration have changed its realization mechanism, the other side have to do the corresponding change. Otherwise their coupling may be unsuccessful.Aimed at the problem that EAI have, the document did the following work:Firstly, the dissertation discusses the EAI model based on Web Services.This model have the following merits. First, it is based on incompact mechanism. It have better capability of interaction across variety platforms and better capability of extension. Second, it based on software and hardware. The solution of inner Enterprise can keep the actuality and just need add an interface to provide service for other systems. Then, it is based on open standard. Finally, it is based on blackbox.Secondly, EAI application project based on Web Services is presented. The dissertation particularly discusses the principle and design method of every part of the system including application system design, Web Services design, Web Services deployment, Web Services register, Web Services search and Web Services integration.Finally, the dissertation discusses the special instance of Web Services in EAI. It studies the design and realization of the system based on .NET platform about customer relationship management and the system based on J2EE platform about product data management,and how the two systems realize EAI based on incompact mechanism by Web Services.
