So that,This paper studies a design and project of the dynamic on-line test system based on Web Service and XML.First,this paper describes the background of computer basis test and the development of on-line test system.Concsionly introduce functions and the peculiarity of the design tools SQL server 2000 and Visual Basic,In order to expound their specify and advantage in the field of data supporting and Object-oriented.Secondly, the author analyze the Web Service.Windows DNA and .Net According to contrasting these three technology,interpret the specify and functions of their own to prove the structure of Web Service can satiety the need of the Online Test System. Further more,it introduces the specify of the XML and its technology of data accessing and data exchange. .Because of the no-relevance of the operation system, the XML has great advantage in the field of data accessing and data exchange.In the end,composed of super user module,normal user module,administrator module and test room module. The system allows teachers and students to visit the database by browser on the side of client. The system has functions of inquiring, data base managing, exam papers setting and managing, examination managing, controlling exam process management, grading the exam paper management, saving archives management and so on.
