The Design And Realization Of Polytechnic Online Test System

The examination is a very important step in the teaching, it has already experienced a very long process of development. Before the invention of the computer and network technology, the variety of its form is very small. With the development of the computer technology, the online test system is being widely used. The online test system has more advantages than traditional examination system. For example, it is free from time and space, it is more fair and transparent, and the standard of examination has been improved.With the development of the higher education,the polytechnic education has been a very important part of the higher education. It focuses on the development student's vocational skills. So the student have actual operation ability, they can complete actual work after graduation. It trains the skilled personnel who adapt to the needs of social development. In this paper, I elaborate the process of a Polytechnic online Test System's design and Realization. First, it introduced the function of the online examination system and the key technique. The key technique included ASP.Net, Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, SQL Server2005 and B/S. Then it introduced the algorithm of auto-generating test paper based on genetic algorithms. The auto-generating test paper is a very important part of the online test system. In this paper, I Analysis the problem of generating test paper. Then I find the process and restriction of the generating test paper. I researched the principle and process of genetic algorithms, and introduced the basic concept, characteristics, basic operation and process of genetic algorithms. I establish its mathematics model. In chapter 4 of this paper, the design and implementation of the online testing system are introduced, including the need analyses of this system, the e-r diagram, the design of the database, the design and implementation of the main functional models, etc. Finally, it analyzed the safety of the system.The system have many advantages, including the B/S structure can make the customer use the online test system by the browser, the safety and equity of the examination is improved, the variety type of question, the graded the paper by the computer and the teacher.This system overcome many weaknesses of the traditional examination system, it realize the online test system. And it has many functions, for example it has many types of question, it can auto-generate test paper, and auto-grade test paper, it can improve the efficiency of the examination. It can bring convenience to the teacher and students. So it will be used in the realm of polytechnic education.
