This item is rooted in a high-speed wire product line in Shiheng Special Steel Co., which is completed by SIEMENS (China) Ltd, Jinan Iron & Steel Group and Wuhan Iron and Steel Design and Research General Incorporation of MCC.With the rapid development of Chinese Iron & Steel Industry, the higher demand is needed for the automatic control system of Iron & Steel product line. The wire is one of the most important and widely used steel material in national constructing, its quality and output determines the development of national economy. A good automatic control system play an important role in designing a high-speed wire product line.In order to realize the collect, monitor and regulate of temperature, pressure and other important manufacturing parameters of high-speed wire product line media, a distributed control system based on Industrial Ethernet and PROFIBUS-DP fieldbus is developed for a high-speed wire product line in Shiheng Special Steel Co., Jinan Iron & Steel Group. The dissertation presents the manufacturing flow of the wire, whole structure of the control, hardware and software collection, configuration, programming of control software, debugging of the control system etc. concretely.The control system adopts a PLC plus Industrial Ethernet plus PROFIBUS-DP fieldbus plus ET200M distributed I/O stations structure to solve the control problems efficiently resulted from the complexity of the manufacturing flow, excessiveness and disperse of I/O, multiplicity of equipments, high demand of harmonization between control equipments. In the control system, Industrial Ethernet forms the top Network and PROFIBUS-DP fieldbus forms the bottom Network. Remote distributed I/O stations form the DP salves in the site field to realize the communication and control of signal points. Siemens S7-400 PLC, which acts as a DP master, is used to harmonize the work among these DP slaves via fieldbus communication; WINCC is used to display parameters, state monitor, deal with alarm information, print report forms. The whole system incarnates the characteristics such as total digital communication, highly openness and reciprocation of Industrial Ethernet plus PROFIBUS-DP fieldbus control system.The high-speed wire product line control system has been put into practical use in September 2004, meets the need of wire manufacturing and works very well, highly-praised by the customer. It not only reflects the rationality, practicability and advancement in practice, but also has the value of engineering reference.
