Controllers Based On Industrial Ethernet And Fieldbus Technology

DCS is applied widely in all kinds of industrial field along with automatization of production process, and will be the mainstream of industrial control system applications. It is a developing control system. Applications of every new technique all promote its development. Now broad applications of filedbus and industrial Ethernet, especially the integration of the both with DCS, made DCS system more competitive.The basic character of Ethernet is that it adopts a kind of sharing access scheme called CSMA/CD. This means several workstations connect on one bus, and all workstations ceaselessly send monitor signal to the bus. But at the same time only one workstation could transmit signal on the bus, others must wait while it finishes transmitting. The Ethernet applied in the industry is called industrial Ethernet. Fieldbus is a kind of communication network which is whole distributed, whole digital, intelligent, bidirectional, interconnected, multivariable, multipoint and multi-station, and is used between local meter and control system or control room. And it is respected as computer local network in automation field. It can be widely used in automation system in many fields such as manufacturing industry, procedure industry and building.The thesis mainly researched and developed a control station based on industrial Ethernet and filedbus. The core of the control station is control card, which corresponds the connection of its software and hardware, and every control assignment. It adopts CANBUS communication protocol to collect data of every I/O module, and adopts Ethernet interface to communicate with engineer station and operator station. Its function and capability will directly affect usability, real-time capability, maintainability and reliability of the system.
