Research On Several Security Problems Of Mobile IP

Mobile IP is a network layer solution which can support node mobility. Nowadays its application and security problem is already became hot spot. The main purpose of mobile IP is to keep communication continuity when the mobile node changes network access point while its IP address needn't change. It can truly realize mobile Internet. The emphasis of this dissertation is the authentication protocol design of Mobile IP , its security analysis and the anonymous commuication problem. Fistly we introduce the origination and development of Mobile IP, followed by its basic priciple based on Mobile IPv4. We then give a detailed description of the security goal, the existed security threats and the corresponding policy. Aimed at the key process of mobile IP working period: auhentication and registration, we provide a protocol which applies IBC(Identity-based Cryptography) to AAA, and also give it security analysis. Furthermore we improved the protocol to make it have micro-mobility. Finally in respect of anonymous communication we make a comparison between several typical communication methods, and also proposed a practical solution of anonymous communication in Mobile IP.
