The research in this paper is concerned with the hardware components and the software framework of granary temperature measurement system and the measurement & Control network system based on RS-485 of the GTDS . With the development of science and technology, especially the wide application of computer technology, a big technical problem demanding prompt solution rises, that is, how to fully use computer technology to inspect and control granary environment automatically, to collect environment data in time and correctly, to do real-time calculation on possibility of temperature overrunning, and to establish necessary synthetic protection mode. In the light of actual granary management, this research applies computer technology to the supervision and control granary environment and develops extensive research. The monitor computer adopts Wincc of Siemens. Siemens WinCC ,namely Windows control center is a visual detect product, which integrate advanced technology of Siemens coporation with powerful function of Microsoft Windows. Wincc already becomes main language of all kinds of detect system development, by high effect ,simple,easy study and powerful function. It has characteristic of far transmission distance ,low cost, agile function, simple use and so using RS—485 carry on remote data communication. Thereˊs one running computer that can work independently . Its main responsibility is to gather analog signals on scene and translate them into digital signals via A/F translator. The digital data is stored in EPROM and then transferred to the monitor computer.Communication way between the monitor computer and running computer is Half-Duplex, RS-485 .Using superior computer to monitor and control granary, the system can examine the real time temperature data without administrative personnel penetrating the scene and carry out generalized analysis of the granary status. Thus,the results mentioned above are advantageous to the automation and intellectualization of granary management.
