Study & Development On User Management And Document Management Of PDM

With rapidly developing of the computer and communications technology, the global economic has been grown. The Chinese enterprise has been faced the hardly challenge and market competitive; with the development of new technology, the more products became rich, the more demands became variety, and the demands for product's personal are increased. In order to survive and develop under the international competitive, medium & small-sized enterprises in our country should be reformed with advanced science technique. Under this kind of environment, the PDM (product data management) technology came into being.PDM is a new management thought and technique. It can be defined as a technology, which based on software technique, regarding product as the core, and realized whole management on the related data, process, resources in product. Relied on the IT technique, it is a valid and optimized management method in enterprises, and is an outcome of the combining together scientific management frame and realistic problem in enterprises. It is also a kind of product that computer technique combined together with corporate culture.In this paper, PDM's start, development and evolvement was expatiated. Related technology and theories that support PDM were introduced. The characteristic of PDM System that small and middle enterprise need is analyzed in this thesis. And the shortage of current PDM products was analyzed. Then, on the basis, frame of that sort of enterprise PDM System is founded, this frame is based on C/S structure and can extend to B/S structure. Then, the User Management and the Document Management which are the important parts of PDM were analyzed and models were built. The User Management were realized by user-role-powers model. With the User Management, the operation such as read and modify to documents which were stored in database can be controlled. With the models of the User Management, tables in database were designed. Then programs of the User Management were realized. With the User Management, the main functions of the Document Management were analyzed and realized, such as the searchingof files, storing files to database and preview of files etc. Then the vision control of documents was analyzed and programs were realized. At the end of this thesis, the method of how to get the information from the documents of AutoCAD was explained.
