With the coming of knowledge economy, the production and management mode of enterprises have changed greatly which are induced by the rapidly development of Modern Computer Technology and Information & Network Technology. Enterprise Resource Planning gives a reasonable choice for the enterprise timely collecting and responding the information. There are a good many Medium and Small Enterprises in China, they have their own characters, therefore, these traits make their information process different from the process of the large scale enterprises.This dissertation firstly introduces manufacturing industry and its mainly produce modes, the basis theory of ERP System, current applications in home and abroad and its development trend, analyzes the characters of Medium and Small Enterprises, the difficulties of implementing ERP and corresponding solve methods, puts forward the functions of Medium and Small Enterprises ERP System.This dissertation through using the thought of System Engineering, analyzes the wholly target, designs the wholly project, included that the designing of system structure, the analyzing of work flow and the deigning of main functional modules. AO graph of IDEF0 function model for the systems and the main technical solutions are presented.With the guidance of system functional target, researches and develops theplanning management system, designs its main functions, analyzes the making flow of Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Material Requirement Planning (MRP) in detail, balances the Planning control and agile manufacture, describes the designing process of production management database, presents its E-R graph and main basis tables of database. This dissertation discusses the detail designing process of Planning management system, completes the function interface designing of main functional modules, presents the main user interfaces, research way of integrating with the application systems of cooperative enterprise, realizes the data interchanging of enterprises by using the SOAP technology and XML technology, presents the standard documents of data interchange, XML DTD, designs the main functions of XML-middleware for data interchange. The system applies the Multi-C/S structure and B/S structure together, Delphi5.0, Java and ASP are the mainly develop tools of this system, uses the Microsoft SQL Server 2000 as the Database Management system.
