With the development of information technology, computer simulation demonstration offers an effect and visible means for analyzing the physics processes and laws with the vivid display. Its functions are increasing in physics teaching especially in University General Physics teaching. It has become another important means of demonstration in physics teaching besides the material object demonstration.In this paper, the author analyses ubiquitous problems that exist in the comprehension, design and application of the material object demonstration and the computer simulation courseware in current physics teaching. The author also analyses the functions and characteristics of the material object demonstration and the computer simulation courseware. On the basis of these, the author points out their limitations and disadvantages and discusses the relationships of them as well as the way of combining them in physics teaching.According to the analysis, the author designs and makes a few typical computer simulation coursewares for University General Physics. In the simulation of polarized light interference, the author successfully simulates the polarized light and its processes of interference in the three-dimension space with the method of axonometric projection .The author also designs the polarized light interference classroom demonstration formula which combines the material object demonstration and the computer simulation courseware. The formula will be applied in physics teaching.
