| The fast growth of the Integrated Computer network and Telecom network has directly caused the fast growth of the Intelligent Network. The direction of the telecom system has been changing from expanding its capacity to enriching its supplementary services. Based on its own advantages, the IN (Intelligent Network) is being developed very rapidly.At the beginning of this paper, we'll first have a quick review of the IN's history and architecture. Then we'll describe how to utilize the IN technology on the prepaid phone system. After that, we'll describe the details of the architecture design and software implementation of the system. Nowadays, there have already been some IN services developed, both domestically and internationally, including the 800 services, calling card services, etc. But those services are not sufficient enough to meet the market needs. Especially in recent years, there's an urgent demand for the prepaid service from the market. Based on this situation, after analyzed the IN technology and customers' demand for the new service, we designed and developed this intelligent prepaid phone system.The core program is realized with UNIX C/C++ language. Also, the technologies as Multi-Thread and Finite State Machine are used in this design. All these technologies can ensure us a fast, efficient, stable and easy-maintained system. We tested this system in the lab after its implementation, and the test results confirmed the system's feasibility by comparing the result with our pre-designed matrix data. During the last few years, this system has been successfully deployed to customer cities in Province of Shan Dong, Fu Jian, Jiang Su, Gan Su, He Nan, Ji Lin, Liao Ning, to provide customers the intelligent prepaid service for PHS phones.At the end of this paper, the entire work is summarized, which points out that the IN technology, including the prepaid phone service, has a very broad future. Some suggestions were given out to further research and develop the Intelligent Network technology. |
