First, this thesis introduces some prevalent data synchronization technologies and correlative products, summarizes their own advantages and disadvantages, analyzes their drawbacks when evaluated in the mobile computing environment. Then the thesis introduces some new technologies and protocols which are relative to data synchronization, such as: SyncML protocol,P2P structure and mobile agent; illuminates the impact they have brought to data synchronization technology. Therefore, the thesis puts forward a effective solution that the integration of P2P structure and mobile agent, to solve data synchronization problem in the mobile computing environment.Furthermore, aiming at the small area of mobile computing environment, this thesis takes advantages of both JXTA and mobile agent; brings forward a new AMPM(Agent-based Mixed P2P Model). The thesis specifies the important components of AMPM, including the kernel algorithm HVU which solves data synchronization problem; the improved IP multi-broadcast technology and the control right transfer policy of the light weight server.In the description of HVU algorithm, it is our stresses that the main update policies and the actual designs of this algorithm. At last, the AMPM which we apply to the engineering project puts on a good effect.
