Research On Software Project Management Of Outsourcing Software Companies

If a software company wants to achieve excellent management, it must do their best to manage the project properly. Software project management is to make the project run according the scheduled cost, time and quality. To achieve that goal, the company should take activity to analyze and manage the cost, people, process, quality and risk. The basis thought of project management is widely used in construction, manufacturing, telecom, bank, advertising, accounting and judicatory, etc. But compared with general engineering project management, software project management has some particularity. Firstly, The whole developing process is design process, no manufacturing process. Secondly the software demands human resource other than material resource. And thirdly, the product of software project management is code and files, no other material products. According to above particularity, the software project management is very special compares with other project management.The purpose of this article is to design a software project management system for an outsourcing software company. Help the company using the basic thought of project management and applying the management method of software engineering. In this article, we show how a software company which choose the On-site human resource support, Outsourcing project and Solution project as its main operation area do its business within the framework of Plan, Do, Check and Act. We have design the management process, development process and testing process. We also design the roses and the responsibility they should take.After designing the process, we also design the managing task for the main steps of each process. The tasks involved are starting project, making plan, checking plan, controlling the change, product delivery, achieving the milestone proof, ending the project and personal work management. The software development task includes the demand analysis and software realizing. The design management task includes creating the version library, managing the ins and outs, freezing the library and publishing the version. Following we make an example to illuminate the usability of the above system. We choose an IC card management system development as our example. From this example, we can see that the software project management system can work properly and can make obverse promotions for the working effect and raise the competitive power of the company.
