| The function of air force is more and more outstanding in the modern war, the fighting strength of the airplanes relates to the victory of the whole battle. Among them, under the current term, strengthen the fleet responding ability of the airplanes and shorten the machine maintenance preparation time when the airplane start out again are important path to increase airplane fighting strength. Our armies are persisting with this, and various synthesized fleet check equipments have already developed to complete continuously start equipping the troops .The beacon receiver is one of the key navigation equipments in wireless navigation system. In the instrument landfall system, it can cooperate with other air instruments and help airman to carry out plane's navigation and landfall. Whether the beacon receiver can work in gear or not is an important question related to safety of airman and plane. The air beacon receiver tester studied in this thesis is part of domestic ground check equipments of some type airplane that our army imported from abroad and also a new type of general-service checking machine. It is not only able to check if the work of various types of airborne beacon receiver testers quickly and accurately but also reduce the number of operator to one. Most importantly, it can shorten the checking time, and improve the efficiency of checking. This equipment has a lot of application, such as the examination of various models airborne beacon receiver of our aviation soldier's troops.These papers starts with the basic principle of navigation, describes the application of beacon receiver in the field of navigation and then represents the basic work process of the beacon receiver. The analysis of the circuit and the software are also given. Finally, it portrays the improvement of this beacon receiver detector. This checking machine has the function of self-examining, when going wrong, it can give an alarm signal automatically, indicate the malfunction part through indicator light. So it guarantees the safety of this equipment. The SCM (Signal Chip Micyoco) is used in this beacon receiver detector for the first time. This equipment not only can select different detecting content through various working condition, but also provide consecutive and nonconsecutive signal (3000Hz,1300Hz and 400Hz). The operator can complete the assignment that used done by many men. So it can shorten the checking time and improve the efficiency of checking. Crystal oscillator was used to generate carrier wave signals in the oscillate circuit of detector. The frequency stability of crystal oscillator is very high so as to greatly improve the frequency stability and veracity of signals generated. Three kinds of audio frequency signals have reduced the error of modulate degree to be less than 10% by using band-pass filter and temperature compensate technology. This fact bring the possibility to produce a much more accurate signal. Its applications include self-examination, when going wrong, it can give an alarm signal automatically, indicate the malfunction part through indicator light. So it guarantees the safety of this equipment.This paper firstly introduces the application of beacon receiver in the field of navigation, and depicts the role that the beacon receiver played in the ILS system.
