At present many national well-known manufacturers hold that by implementing ERP system they can make more efficient and more reasonable use of internal resources, reducing the intermediate links that are not value-added, improving the application efficiency and benefit of resources, thus to realize the integration of technological process, to monitor the critical links effectively, to strengthen the sharing of data among different departments, to make the enterprise take on the aspect of vertical management and horizontal monitoring, and finally to improve the whole management level, management efficiency, work efficiency and save the cost.By researches and investigation of the operation of some enterprises in fashion industry, considering its features and the future development of its business, in combination with the technology of ERP system, we should observe the following principles: the smoothness of the business technological process should first be realized, the all-purpose systematic functions should be maximized, the flexibility of ordering products should be fully reflected, the convenience of using products must be carried out, the advanced managing theory must be applied to practice, the integrity of resolving schemes should be thought through and the alternation between systems should have be well compatible.Based on Software DCOM technology, this thesis puts forward the three-structured ERP system of distributed parts. It adopts target-oriented design technology, the development of part model based on COM, and the large data base of SQL SERVER2000. It also employs the technology of work stream and support the change of technique process. The system can collocate, extend the user-defined business process, which is not only adapted to the future business development of the enterprise, but also preserves the existing hardware investment.The whole train of thoughts of designing the DCOM-based ERP system is to adhere to one centre and to keep three main business lines and one supporting principle. One centre is with the finance as the core. The main purpose of management is to make profits and therefore in all the business activities and the design of functional modules we should consider how to connect them with finance, how to transfer all the relevant data of business activities to financial system, how to guarantee the consistency and correctness of the data and how to fulfill the high integration of financial management. Three main business lines refer to: material flow management, production management and finance management. Material flow management includes the following: purchasing raw materials, putting the raw materials in storage and taking them out of storage, putting the products in and taking them out of storage and managing the products marketing. The production management includes working out the production plans, assigning the production plans, controlling the production plans etc. Finance management is the outcome of all the activities of enterprises. It includes the management of general ledger, the management of fixed assets, the budget management, capital management, salary management and etc. One support refers to support the rearrangement of business process of enterprises. With the development and change of enterprises, their business process keeps changing. ERP software should adapt to the process of enterprises in a dynamic fashion.
