Data Integrity Of Chemical Corporation Heterogeneous Database And Building The Data Warehouse

With the advent of information age, more and more data are piled up in the process of enterprises development. How to use these data and then to direct the decision-making of enterprises is the key that they win and make maximal benefit. Because of these reasons, Data Warehouse technology grows step by step. This thesis focuses on the research of data integrity from heterogeneous database and building technology of Data Warehouse-based Chemical Corporation Production Monitoring and Management System. Furthermore, a data warehouse frame has been designed and implemented. This frame includes basic modules of DW system and it is scalable.At first, a lot of domestic and overseas datum about Data Warehouse technology is introduced in this paper. Furthermore, an in-depth study of the ETL (extract, transform and loading) and Data Warehouse modeling is made. And then the details of the prototype system designing are discussed by means of an example of the Chemical Corporation Production Monitoring and Management System: firstly, By encapsulating DTS (Data Transformation Services) to realize data extract, data transform and data loading (ETL), The data in some former operating database is loaded into data warehouse. Secondly, by analyzing the requirements of DSS and dynamic reports, the data warehouse is realized by using the information packed technology. It is explore of building DW in the domain of chemical corporation production. Then, by using the tools of Microsoft OLAP services, the dimensions and cubes of production and consume are build and met the requirement of multidimensional OLAP analysis. In addition, cooperating with others of the team, the front-end applications of Data Warehouse are deplored by making use of the .NET technology.
