Data Warehouse Technology And Its Application In The Bank Processing Systems

Centering on the design and realization of Data Warehouse (DW) in the period of advanced administration (the period of knowledge administration) and combined with the contents of the excavation of data, the discovery of knowledge and the analysis of onine etc, the paper illustrated the following research and practice. Concentrating on knowledge administration, the paper put forward a complete set of definition on DW, frame structure and solved problems concerning data integrity, information integrity and knowledge integrity Especially it gave a detailed description on metadata, which is one of the hot points nowadays. Aiming at the design of a series of Data Warehouse System which took element data as the core . Up to now, there has no an integrated agreenient on onine analysis based on database and this essay would offer a detailed discussion. Tentatively the author thought that onine analysis based on database should consist of searching statistical analysis of database, Index Query subjected to the constraint of subject search and dimension and granularity and knowledge discovery taking data excavation as the core. At the same time, the essay also gave us some significant information on the physical realization of DW, taking star schemas and snowflake schemas for instances. Concerning multiser network system, the paper introduced a 3ayer pattern, which adapted browser/sever mode and intermediate mode, solving the problem for multiser and distance user to visit Data Warehouse. Finally, linking the instance of a bank system for clearance and distribution , in which the author played an important role, the paper gave a meticulous analysis and design on the construction of DW, offered two analytical tool for OLAP on DIV and realized the Index Query for DIV. In the end, posed some perspectives to be consummated.
