| Copyright trading is one of the most important parts of intellectual economy. Chinese publishing industries can introduce advanc ed foreign technology and culture to inland readers, in addition to spreading Chinese excellent works out of China by copyright trading. On the other hand, Chinese publishing presses can absorb foreign presses' successful management experiences and shorten the gaps between Chinese publishing presses and foreigners' through co-cperations. There were total 10,235 copyright importing and 1,207 copyright exporting made in China in 2002. Copyright trading is being considered as the new economic multiplication factor for its huge profits.Base on the summarizing of the copyright trading history and present condition, the dissertation analyzes the problems existing in Chinese publishing industries. How to cultivate correct copyright viewpoints and cultiva e copyright trading personnel, how to improve original ability, how to increase copyright exporting, and how to strengthen the influences of copyright agency are all the problems that Chinese publishing industries have to tackle now and in the future.
