| The TV Live Broadcast of the important events is a comprehensive broadcasting system with simultaneous transmission of the on-the-spot voice and image as the main body, combing the studio live interview, rolling news broadcast and the phone interviewing of the reporters on the spot and other various means. It is a live complex developed on the basis of the studio and on-the-spot live broadcast, concentrating the advantages of the two kinds of live broadcast, which is a leap compared to the traditional pure live broadcast. Supported by the fundamentals and theoretical achievements of TV journalism, communication and psychology, the article systematically discusses the evolution process, communication characteristics and reporting means of the TV live broadcast of important events. It develops through three stages, and much breakthrough takes place during the process; the main characteristics are to satisfy the audience' s right to know by perfecting the information communication and to inspire the sensation experience through the command of viewing psychology. It is a solid reporting system composed of many live broadcast parts, and various ways of representation are also employed to strengthen the live effect. The article develops its discussion with the special report of Focusing on the Iraqi War of CCTV-4 as the main example. The author hopes the article will be beneficial to the understanding of the journalists and the improvement of their practical level.
