Management of Mine Safety is characterized by data-intensiveness, computing- intensiveness, distribution of resources, and heterogeneous information system. As an innovative high performance computing environment and information services infrastructure, a grid can meet geological survey application requirement by its dynamic, distributed resources sharing and collaboration. Based on research of the grid Technology, its architecture and successful case of the grid's application , the paper propose and design the Mine Safety Grid and its architecture. Based on the end of grid service and research on the architecture of MS GRID, a novel service-oriented architecture named MGGOA with seven levels from information acquirement, processing to application is proposed.The paper makes a thorough study on middleware and distributed computing technology. Based on the latest word of distributed computing technology, the MGGOA 's module and the software development thought of its function components software are designed. Taking one module of the MGG-Management of Gas as an example, how to design the GIS optional component in MGG is introduced.The paper makes a systemic research on the problem of co-manipulation. Based on the hot topic of grid protocol and the protocol of OPEN GIS instituted by ISO, the method of modeling of Space Geographical Information based on XML and the key technology of integration of software. Based on the theory of GRID GIS, the method of designing service operational component and the integration scheme on the service port are proposed combined with the latest word of the economical GIS and its protocol. The research of this paper is not only localized in Mine Safety Management , it also can combined with the other industry and accomplish the dynamic dispatch of resources and sharing of service. From this point , the research can be used in all trades and professions.
