The New York Times is a unique and distinguished newspaper in the word, which is famous for its nobility and magnificence. Other peers had been out of stage one-by one ads time passed away while The New York Times survived in the of competition and always kept its prime position which was chiefly owing to its relative perfect and independent managing and operating system.The dissertation is divided into four parts. In the first part, considering the problem of position, it studied the business development of The New York Times, summarized their noble-oriented strategies and at the end of this part made a conclusion that The New York Times was their self-awareness and strict criterion.The second part made an analysis on the theory of "News First" which was always persisted by The New York Times, established some news reporting principles, which should been held and revealed the further reasons and factors of The New York Times' success. In the third part, it tried to disclose The New York Times 'achievement in view of talents. It was talents that played an essential role in the development of The New York Times and it was also talents that brought about transformation of inner mechanism and execution of management. The Forth part regarded The New York Times as a newspaper business group and in view of managing, it analyzed its innovation mechanism and strategies and principles, which The New York Times had taken when it was in the face of new opportunities and challenges. It summarized The New York Times' successful regularity from the angle of innovation.In the last part, through the summary of The New York Times' successful factors, and the study of such a typical case, the dissertation drew up the universal regularity and put forward several suggestions for China newspapers' industry according to their own conditions.
