The rising of rapid transit on freeway is changing the pattern of overland traffic in our traffic in our county. While the frequent accidents have badly touched the confidence of people using them since the freeways were devote to using , especially the rear-end collision accident, which is the most representational accident form. Based on this premise, a suit of Rear-end Collision Warning System is studied and taped in this paper.Based on the theoretically analyzing of the braking process, the applied counting model of the safe following distance between two cars on freeways is established. The design blue print of the system is brought forward based on such model. Using laser radar measure the distance of own car to front car, collecting the information of driving circumstance through several sensors and analyzing judging all of such information using a industrial computer. In this paper, the signal processing technique of Wavelet is put forward. Traditional automotive anti-collision radar uses Fourier Transform (FFT) to deal frequency, it is useful to distinguish targets, and wavelet technique can get rid of disturb of signal which is caused by road, fence, trees and buildings.Vehicle anti-collision technique as sub-item of Intelligent Transport System will grow up and be perfect in future. It will shorten the safe space between car heads and guarantee vehicle safety, so it will help to increase transport efficiency and keep economic fast growth.
