| With the reform and opening up of more than twenty years, market economy has fierily influenced all the walks of life in China. The mass media is one of the calling which has changed most. On the one hand, purely commercial media agencies appear largely, on the other hand, the main media have become more or less commercially orientated in operation modes and editorship policy because of the pressure of market and finance. The entertainment appears in both the form and content of the medium. It also appears in news report. Now a series of problems, such as vulgarism, moral corruption, feebleness of obligation for society in the media have become more and more series.What are the roots of news entertainment and media entertainment? How to comment the entertainment in news? How to put it into the right way and make it play a positive role? There are three parts in this thesis. The news entertainment is studied in three aspects. In the first part, the roots of the entertainment news are also studied through three ways: the culture background of postmodernism, the fashion of consumerism and epicurism, and the influential position of medium behoof. In the second part, the aesthetics in entertainment news is studied through the relationship among the news, entertainment and aesthetics. In the last part, the judgement in moral and the conduction in entertainment are studied through the moralism of the news and the obligation of the mass media.The news entertainment is deviated from the essence of the matured market economy, the main needs of audience for information and the social property of the Chinese medium. It shouldn't and will not become the dominant force in China.
