With computer technology and communication technology quickly developing, telemidicine technology is also highly increasing. With a leading application of telemedicine, tele-monitoring gives more and more emphasis by most researchers.Now cardiac disease severely menaces people's lives, thus it is highly important to monitor patients' electrocardiogram(ECG). In the CCU, ICU sickroom, ECG monitoring apparatus are absolutely necessary, and it is often used during the healing or salving. Owing to number of bed and monitoring apparatus' price, it is difficult to monitor overmany cardiac disease patient, and then it is required to develop a tele-monitoring apparatus used for individual. In this paper, we put forward an ECG tele-monitoring system based on mobile communication, and design a DSP system used for mobile tele-monitoring terminal.In the paper, we represent hardware and software designs of DSP system, and principally analyse design point about this system. DSP hardware system include ECG acquisition module and DSP module, ECG acquisition is composed of amplifiers, filters and A/D; DSP module is made up of memories, logic devices and JTAG, etc. DSP software system include application and boot loader. The function of the application are data acquisition, real-time analysis of ECG and design of communication program between Rabbit2000 and DSP host port interface. The function of boot loader is to transfer user code from external source to the program memory upon power up. This allows code to reside in slow non-volatile memory externally, and be transferred to high-speed memory when executed.
