Container loading problem exists in industry areas widely,especially in logistics area.As a key technology,container loading problem plays an important in improving the efficiency of distributing works,optimizing the cargos loading pattern and standardizing the business process.Till now,a lot of study has been done on the problem,while complex container loading problems,especially the multi-container loading problem,still need to be researched.Based on the published algorithms,a new algorithm has been developed to solve complex container loading problems.The work of the paper include:models building,algorithms designing,and the development of container loading visualization system.Firstly,the background of the thesis is introduced,and the container loading problems are described subsequently.Then models for single container loading problem and multi-container loading problem are set up respectively while considering some practical constraints such as cargoes bearing capacity,container loading stability and mixed loading restriction etc.A hybrid genetic algorithm,which combines genetic algorithm and the new heuristic method,is developed to get global optimal solution or superior solution.The hybrid algorithm not only generates efficient loading patterns but also satisfies some practical constraints such as cargoes bearing capacity,container loading stability and mixed loading restriction etc.Numerical experiments from the benchmark problems have shown that the proposed algorithm is superior to current algorithms.Besides,by means of Visual Basic,a container loading visualization system has been developed.The system,which has realized the transparency of loading operations and the visualization of the cargoes in the container,could increase the practicality of container loading software.
