Jms-based Workflow Management System

The workflow technology is very important for enterprise application integration.After several years development, the technology has become more and more matureand has been successfully applied to the business activity. It can not only effectivelyintegrate all sorts of needed data, such as administrator,application, but also make theenterprise applications cooperation work. In fact, the workflow management system isa platform software that converts the actual business process into computer form. Bycomparing to the conventional workflow management system, the distributedworkflow management is more extensible and flexible.With the rapid advance of Internet, the business process stretches out ofenterprise, and more and more partners work together. The new features of businessprocess require that the workflow management system has better distributedarchitecture, and support collaborating work across different organizations.Web Services and SOA software architecture are the fundamentals of futureworkflow system, and the trends in process. Now, there are several universities inChina have joined the research works in workflow system theory, and some ITcompanies have produced some products. But it still exists a gap with the developedcountries in the world.Face to these problems mentioned above, the author researches deeply existingmechanism and products nowadays and represents some opinions. Firstly, theWFMC Standards and the Web Services Standards are introduced in the thesis. Then,the mechanism,design and implementation of workflow management system weproposed are described in detail, with emphasis on how to build the system on thebasis of UEMQ Message Middleware. The key features of the system are to separatethe services from the message passing infrastructure and adopt the Web Services tothe system, in order to enhance the Modeling across the organizations and improveadaption.
