Pump station is an important part of iron and steel enterprise. Both product quality and safety in production depend on the normal running of it. With the development of industry automation, it is an urgent task to improve the level of management and the monitor of pump station in order to increase economy benefit.According to the actuality and tendency of monitor system for the pump station, considering the 6th pump station in ChangZhi iron and steel Group Company. This paper focus on: Applying the distributed control technology in monitor system for the pump station, which is implemented by IPC and PLC. IPC is superior of the system, communicating with subordinate PLC through PPI protocol. PC monitor software adopts "King View" industry control software, which is designed to realize displaying technologic flow, alarming, historical curve, report forms and database. In addition, the paper chooses water pressure as example and studies how to use Fuzzy logic on water pressure control, simulating the hypothesis in MATLAB environment. The result indicates that Fuzzy control's" effect excels PID control's .
