Since early 1970s, the office automation (OA: Office automation) has been sprung up along with the development of personal computer and computer network technology. Meanwhile, with the unceasing advance of information technology, the office automation system makes a good development on technology and application, and becomes the important sign of modern society. The official automation is concerned with computer technology, communication technology, systematic science and behavior science, etc. Now, many government organizations and enterprises use the OA to manage daily official business, realize information to share, and more raise working efficiency efficiently.This thesis is based on the OA system of Guizhou Telecom. First, it studies characteristic, present situation and the development of the OA system, and puts forward the principles that should be adopt in the OA system; then explains the necessity of using OA system for Guizhou Telecom. Second, it analyzes the crucial technology that the OA system adopts as: object-oriented technology, component technology, J2EE technology, and etc; then it studies the specific requirement and character of Guizhou Telecom OA. Finally, it studies how to use object-oriented technology, component technology, and J2EE technology in OA system of Guizhou Telecom.According to the actual condition of Guizhou Telecom and characteristic of technology, The OA system of Guizhou Telecom has adopted object-oriented technology, component technology, and J2EE technology, In the J2EE four-tier based structure, Browser provides visual graphic interface, Web Server respond to the request of the clients, Application Server processes application, computation and data operation, DB Server stores and administrates information. The application of multi-tier structure enables the system to take on distinguished quality of flexibility, generality and compatibility. With the application of component technology, the efficiency and quality of the development is greatly improved and the work of maintenance is reduced.
