Since 1970s, With the development of information technologies and the insight into enterprise organizational structure/schemes, Office automation systems are developed rapidly and become an important symbol of the present office management in firms and organizations. Office automation systems apply many technologies and much knowledge across different subjects, such as computer science, communication technology, science of system and behavior, process those unstructured and large scale data-set which can't be deal with by traditional data processing technologies. Further, they support self-defined flexible workflow to implement coordinated system with high efficiency. At present, most organizations and firms have treated office automation systems as an important part of information infrastructure, with expectation that it can help usual office management share information and intercommunication, enhance management normalization and efficiency.Based on the office automation system development of Guiyang Shinan power supply company, first we recall the development of up-to-date office management system and its characteristics, define some basic rules that should be held during system design. Therefore, it is necessary to set focus on how to apply these technology in office automation system. This papar discusses this point in detail and summarizes a practicable application model. Furthermore, some important problems are solved technically and its detail is introduced in detail.In general, undergoing the construction of knowledgeable and learning power supply company, it is helpful to develop a novel office automation system to enhance executive management, implement coordinated workflow and knowledge management. And, research on J2EE, component technology and object-oriented technology is of great importance to theoretical focus and engineering application.
